Netflix Orders a Second Series of Crime Drama ‘The Gentlemen’

The Gentlemen on Netflix

Netflix has commissioned a second series of the crime drama “The Gentlemen,” with filming expected to begin in 2025. This continues the story of Guy Ritchie’s initial series, which is currently available on the streaming platform.

The show centers around Eddie Horniman (played by Theo James), who unexpectedly inherits his father’s country estate, only to find it tied to a cannabis empire. Horniman is then forced to deal with the criminal underworld, as various factions aim to control the illegal operation.

An interesting aspect of the series is how Horniman adjusts to his unexpected involvement in criminal activities. As the story progresses, he moves from being an outsider to embracing the underworld and all that comes with it.

The first series included a range of well-known and up-and-coming actors, including Kaya Scodelario, Chanel Cresswell, Michael Vu, Max Beesley, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Harry Goodwins, Daniel Ings, and Jasmine Blackborow. It also featured performances from seasoned actors like Giancarlo Esposito, Dar Salim, and Peter Serafinowicz.

Details about the second series are limited. So far, only the number of episodes and the filming start date have been disclosed. The first series is currently streaming on Netflix, and the second series will also be exclusively available on the platform.
