In this episode, farmers Rob and Dave Nicholson take a break from their work at Cannon Hall Farm to indulge in a fossil-hunting expedition with their brother Richard and amateur paleontologist Brian Foster. Along Yorkshire’s Jurassic coastline, they uncover ancient treasures hidden for millions of years.

Local journalist Christa Ackroyd travels to Halifax in West Yorkshire, delving into the life of Anne Lister, the inspiration behind the TV series Gentleman Jack. Ackroyd gains exclusive access to Anne’s former home, Shibden Hall, and meets 90-year-old Helena Whitbread, who dedicatedly decoded Anne Lister’s intimate coded diaries.

The episode also features vintage car enthusiast Ian Jowett, who has spent six years meticulously restoring a 1930 Delux Short 2 vehicle with a personal connection to his family’s business.

At Newby Hall, head gardener Lawrence Wright and his colleague Heather Castle face the daunting task of trimming the massive three-meter-high, one-mile-long hedgerows that encompass the historic Grade 1 listed home’s 25-acre garden. With winter setting in, they work tirelessly to maintain the garden’s beauty and grandeur.
