As part of the “World Outlander Day” celebration, Starz has announced that the second half of ‘Outlander’ Season 7 will premiere on Friday, November 22, 2024. The first half of the season, consisting of eight episodes, aired in June 2023, with the remaining eight episodes set to release weekly on Fridays at midnight ET on the Starz app, Starz streaming, and on-demand. The new episodes will air on linear on Fridays at 8:00 pm.

Kieran Bew has joined the cast as “Captain Charles Cunningham,” a retired British soldier. Frances Tomelty will portray his mother, “Elspeth Cunningham.” Lastly, Carla Woodcock takes on the role of “Amaranthus Grey,” introducing a new member to the iconic Grey family.

While an exact release date for Season 8 has not been confirmed, it is expected to begin production in 2024 and air in late 2025 or early 2026. The eighth season will be the final instalment of the series, and will consist of 10 episodes.

Season 8 is expected to follow the narrative of Diana Gabaldon’s ninth book in the series, ‘Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone’. In the book, Brianna experiences health issues related to time-travelling, while William embarks on a journey and meets someone who believes he is Lord John’s son. New romantic entanglements, artistic pursuits, and time travellers are set to be introduced.
