OWN is bringing back its annual holiday programming event, “OWN For the Holidays,” with three new original movies premiering on consecutive Saturdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, starting December 7th.
The network emphasizes the focus on family, friends, and love in these films, aiming to resonate with Black audiences and provide holiday entertainment.
The lineup includes “A Season to Remember,” starring Michele Weaver as a sports reporter finding romance and career direction with a freelance photographer (Nathan Owens).
“Mistletoe & Matrimony” features Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut as a wedding planner facing challenges while organizing her sister’s Christmas Eve wedding, complicated by the return of her ex-boyfriend (Etienne Maurice).
Finally, “24-Karat Christmas” stars Samantha Marie Ware as a jewelry designer who teams up with Curtis Hamilton to track down misplaced wedding rings.
All three films are produced by MarVista Entertainment (FOX Entertainment Studios), with Megan Ellstrom, Larry Grimaldi, Hannah Pillemer, and Fernando Szew serving as executive producers.
