Oxygen is set to explore more of Atlanta’s most gripping murder cases in the new third season of “The Real Murders of Atlanta.”
The docuseries returns on Saturday, August 17, at 9:00 pm ET/PT, following the third season premiere of “Killer Relationship with Faith Jenkins.”
The second season of “The Real Murders of Atlanta” reached new heights, drawing 9.5 million total viewers across platforms, an 8% increase from the first season. On Peacock, the second season saw a 13% growth in its First-35 Day account reach compared to the inaugural season.
“The Real Murders of Atlanta” thoroughly examines crimes that have shocked the vibrant city and its surrounding areas, featuring individuals closely connected to the cases. Victims’ loved ones, case investigators, witnesses, and detectives provide firsthand accounts of the lives and movements of the deceased, as well as the intense efforts to bring their killers to justice. Each episode this season examines cases that have impacted the Atlanta community, involving local celebrities, suburban residents, and heartbroken families.

The murder of world champion boxer Vernon Forrest sends shockwaves through Atlanta. Detectives from the Atlanta Police Department (APD) must determine if this was a random act or a targeted attack due to his fame.
