The documentary series Police: Suspect No.1 returns with an intense episode, airing on Channel 5, on Monday, 22 July 2024. This instalment takes us to Kingston upon Hull, where a chilling incident unfolds as innocent victims are terrorised in their own home by a knife-wielding intruder.
The Humberside Police are faced with the challenging task of identifying and apprehending this dangerous individual. However, the case takes an unexpected twist when, less than 24 hours later, the same victims are targeted again, this time by two attackers, leaving them traumatised.
Detective Constable Heather Butler leads the investigation, determined to build a solid case and bring the perpetrators to justice. As the enquiry progresses, incriminating evidence is discovered, including a meat cleaver left at the crime scene. But the connection between the two attackers surprises the detectives.
With time being a critical factor, the Humberside detectives race against the clock. Will the suspects crack under pressure in the interview room, and will their interrogation tactics lead to a confession?
