The nation’s favourite art competition, Portrait Artist of the Year, returns for its eleventh season, hosted once more by Stephen Mangan. This year should be another dazzling display of artistic prowess, with talented individuals from across the UK vying for the prestigious 2024 title.
A diverse range of celebrity sitters, from stage, screen, sports, literature, and politics, lend their faces to the challenge. Over eight episodes, aspiring artists will present their skills, hoping to impress the panel of judges: Tai Shan Schierenberg, Kathleen Soriano, and Kate Bryan.
Kicking off this year’s competition are three people from the world of film and TV: the multi-talented actress and singer, Hannah Waddingham; the veteran TV presenter, Richard Madeley; and the Slow Horses star, Saskia Reeves. They’ll pose for the first round of artists, who will strive to capture their unique personalities and essences.
