Prime Video’s Cruel Intentions: Intrigue and Betrayal Return to Campus

Cruel Intentions Key Art

Is college really about higher learning, or is it a sophisticated game of social chess? Prime Video leans into the latter with its upcoming series Cruel Intentions, a modern reimagining of the 1999 cult classic. Forget the hallowed halls of academia; this is Manchester College, where reputation reigns supreme, Greek life is the ultimate status symbol, and two cunning step-siblings are pulling the strings.

Caroline Merteuil and Lucien Belmont, played by Sarah Catherine Hook and Zac Burgess, respectively, sit atop this precarious social pyramid. However, a hazing scandal threatens to topple their carefully constructed world, putting the entire Greek system at risk. Desperate to maintain their power, they set their sights on a new target: Annie Grover (Savannah Lee Smith), the unsuspecting daughter of the Vice President. Will they succeed in their manipulative machinations, or will their own web of deceit unravel?
