“Raising Fame”, a new documentary series hosted by celebrity mothers Lucille O’Neal and Sonya Curry, is set to premiere on TV One this Sunday July 7 at 10 p.m. Central Time. The show offers an exclusive insight into the lives of some of today’s most prominent figures, as told by their parents.
Each episode of “Raising Fame” will focus on a different celebrity, with the hosts, O’Neal and Curry, guiding the audience through their guests’ journeys. The premiere episode features Oscar-nominated actress Danielle Brooks and her parents, who share their experience of her rise to stardom. The show will take viewers from Brooks’ small-town beginnings in Simpsonville, South Carolina, to the glittering world of Hollywood, including a rare interview just before her Academy Awards attendance.
This season, “Raising Fame” boasts an impressive roster of guests, including renowned athletes, musicians, and actors, along with their families. Among those featured are John Legend, Fantasia, Magic Johnson, Jon Batiste, Chance the Rapper, Kevin Durant, Billy Porter, and the late Chadwick Boseman.
“Raising Fame” is produced by TCS Media, with Tracy Chutorian Semler and Eric Semler serving as executive producers, and Film 45 providing production services.
