RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Crowns Angeria Paris VanMicheals as Winner

Angeria Paris VanMicheals has been crowned the winner of Paramount+’s RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season nine, receiving a spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame and a supersized donation of $200,000 to the National Black Justice Coalition, her chosen charity. This season marked the first time in the franchise’s history where queens competed for charity, harnessing their drag skills to raise money for various organizations.

RuPaul, the eight-time Emmy Award-winning host and executive producer, shared: “In a season full of giving, Angeria Paris VanMicheals won me over with her kindness, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. Condragulations to all the queens for serving world-class entertainment while raising money and awareness for so many worthy causes.”

The season nine finale featured a special appearance by Vice President Kamala Harris, who encouraged viewers to fight back against attacks on the LGBTQ+ community’s rights and freedoms. RuPaul was joined by Michelle Visage, Jamal Sims, Lance Bass, Leslie Jones, and Cheyenne Jackson to spread the message of the importance of voting.

The finale also included a surprise appearance by Kylie Sonique Love, winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season six, and a virtual appearance by Jimbo, winner of season eight, as they offered words of encouragement to the queens. The top three queens, Angeria Paris VanMicheals, Vanessa Vanjie, and Roxxxy Andrews, battled it out in a lip-sync performance of Janet Jackson’s “Rhythm Nation,” with Angeria Paris VanMicheals ultimately being crowned the winner.

The eight queens who returned for All Stars season nine competed for a variety of charities, including the National Alliance on Mental Illness, The Trevor Project, and the Asian American Foundation, showcasing their drag skills and raising awareness for important causes.
