Scare Tactics returns with another collection of pranks designed to induce mild cardiac arrest in unsuspecting individuals. This week’s theme seems to revolve around the perils of everyday objects. Evil furniture? Sure, why not. A killer garage sale find? Sign me up. I’m picturing possessed La-Z-Boys and cursed ceramic kittens. The possibilities are endless.
The summary also mentions a crowbar, a killer, and some chicken. I’m not entirely sure how those elements fit together, but I’m willing to suspend disbelief (and possibly my dinner) to find out. Perhaps it’s a poultry-themed slasher flick, or maybe the killer just really enjoys a good roast chicken dinner after a hard day’s work.
Either way, I’m sure it will be appropriately absurd and over-the-top. The show’s “cinematic approach” to hidden camera pranks often results in more eye-rolls than genuine scares, but there’s a certain low-brow charm to watching people freak out over staged scenarios. Let’s just hope no one gets permanently traumatized in the process.
