In Sunday night’s Hallmark movie Scouting For Christmas, real estate agent Angela (Tamara Mowry-Housley) has been thriving as a busy divorcee for a couple of years. Her former husband, Dakota (James Paladino), a paleontologist, led a life of adventure, but their paths rarely crossed.
Now, Angela copes with life as a devoted single mom to Brooklyn (Audrey Wise Alvarez), a bright and loving 10-year-old girl. Juggling a packed schedule, Angela struggles to manage everything, often rushing to get Brooklyn to her scout meetings on time. This doesn’t go unnoticed by the other mothers, who aren’t exactly fans of her timekeeping skills.
Brooklyn, always full of ideas, suggests that William (Marks), the owner of her favorite bakery, cater the scout troop’s annual holiday event, which is known for its elegance. She asks Angela to collaborate with William on presenting this proposal to the moms in charge.
Angela, sensing that her daughter might be playing matchmaker, agrees to help anyway. She soon finds herself enjoying William’s company but remains hesitant to embrace new romantic possibilities. However, when Dakota re-enters the picture, Angela is faced with a difficult decision—choosing between her heart’s desires and what she believes is best for Brooklyn.
Scouting For Christmas airs on Hallmark on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 8:00 PM.
