The Discovery Channel’s Shark Week returns with a tense episode, “Belly of the Beast: Bigger and Bloodier.” In this installment, marine biologist Dr. Austin Gallagher, marine scientist Liv Dixon, and legendary cameraman Kina Scollay embark on a daring mission to create the biggest feeding frenzy ever witnessed.
The team travels to New Zealand, where they put their innovative ideas to the test. They introduce new shark attractant features to a 29-foot whale decoy, aiming to lure in massive 18-foot “Breeder” sharks. This follows on from last year’s popular Shark Week show, where the team first ventured into the belly of the beast.
With their enhanced decoy and determination, the team aims to take shark research and understanding to new heights, providing invaluable insights into these fascinating creatures.
