An upcoming special edition of the CBS Original series Secret Celebrity Renovation will feature Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Markus “Mookie” Betts. The episode will air on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT on the CBS Television Network and will also be available for streaming on Paramount+.
Hosted by Nischelle Turner, this special installment sees Mookie return to his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, to express his gratitude to his father, Willie, through a surprise home renovation. Mookie, an eight-time baseball all-star, has always wanted to give back to his father, who made personal sacrifices and instilled values of hard work and integrity in him.
Despite Mookie’s previous offers to improve the house, his father consistently declined, wanting to maintain the status quo. Now, with the help of home improvement contractor Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano and interior designer Sabrina Soto, Mookie will trade his baseball bat for a sledgehammer to create a much-needed upgrade for his father’s living space.
The episode will also include a trip down memory lane as Mookie revisits his old high school and reunites with his former coach, Mike Morrison.
