Stephen Mulhern, Ant & Dec Team Up for ITV’s ‘The Accidental Tourist’

ITV has announced a new travel show, ‘The Accidental Tourist’, featuring TV personalities Stephen Mulhern and Ant & Dec. The one-off special, co-produced by South Shore and Mitre Studios, will air on ITV1 and ITVX in 2025.

In this unique show, Mulhern, known for his reluctance to step out of his comfort zone, has enlisted Ant & Dec to push him towards new experiences. The trio will take viewers on a journey as Mulhern explores new cultures, cuisines, and adventures beyond his usual surroundings.

With Ant & Dec taking cues from viral clips, they will guide Mulhern to a secret Asian destination, challenging him to face his fears and discover new places. Mulhern will encounter stunning locations and immerse himself in different cultures, all while finding out if he can embrace the unknown and become a traveller.

The show is commissioned by ITV’s Director of Factual Entertainment, Sue Murphy, and Head of Development and Commissioning Editor, Kate Teckman.

Executive producers include Andrew Mackenzie and Melanie Leach from South Shore, and Ed Sleeman and Jack Shillaker from Mitre Studios. ‘The Accidental Tourist’ will air on ITV1, ITVX, STV, and STV Player in 2025.
