BBC Four takes viewers on a nostalgic journey as it repeats the first episode of “Strictly Come Dancing” on Saturday 10 August, ahead of the show’s 20th anniversary this autumn. Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly present this opening episode, introducing celebrities paired with professional dancers in a ballroom dancing competition.

The original judging panel consisted of Craig Revel Horwood, Len Goodman, Arlene Phillips, and Bruno Tonioli. The first season’s celebrities included David Dickinson, Lesley Garrett, Verona Joseph, Natasha Kaplinsky, Martin Offiah, Christopher Parker, Claire Sweeney, and Jason Wood, each paired with their professional dancing partners.

“Strictly Come Dancing” returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer this autumn with a spectacular 20th anniversary series. Viewers can also look forward to a special one-off programme celebrating two decades of glitter, glamour, and unforgettable performances.

Strictly Come Dancing, the very first episode, airs Saturday 10th August at 7pm on BBC One.
