The CW’s planned broadcast of “The Librarians: The Next Chapter” has been removed from its fall schedule. The series, a spinoff of the popular “The Librarians” on TNT, was originally set to debut following “Superman & Lois.” However, The CW has announced that the 9 p.m. timeslot on that date will feature the docuseries “The Wranglers.”
A new premiere date for “The Librarians: The Next Chapter” has not been announced, leaving fans of the fantasy-adventure genre awaiting updates. The series continues the story of the guardians of a mythical Library that houses powerful and dangerous artifacts.
Callum McGowan, Jessica Green, Olivia Morris, and Bluey Robinson star in this iteration, which introduces the character of Vikram (McGowan), a Librarian from the past who finds himself in the present. Vikram’s return to his castle, now a museum, releases magic and sets the stage for a new team of Librarians.
Dean Devlin serves as showrunner and executive producer, alongside Marc Roskin and Rachel Olschan-Wilson of Electric Entertainment. Noah Wyle, a key figure in the franchise since the original TNT films, also executive produces.
