On today’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Drew and her co-host, Ross Mathews, will be serving the news “sunny side up” and discussing their favourite shows, products, and things to do over the weekend. They will be joined by actors Glen Powell and Adria Arjona, who will be talking about their new film, Hit Man.
The new Hitman movie with Glen Powell and Adria Arjona is based on a true story about a Houston cop who works undercover as a hitman. Glen Powell plays Gary Johnson, a nerdy, divorced college professor who lives with a pair of cats named Id and Ego. He also works part-time on sting operations for the New Orleans police department, eventually posing as a hired killer to bust potential clients.
He meets Madison, played by Adria Arjona, and talks her out of putting a hit on her abusive husband. They hit it off, but the relationship is complicated by the fact that Madison falls for one of Gary’s hitman personas, not knowing that he is an undercover cop. The movie is directed by Richard Linklater and is currently streaming on Netflix.
