On Tuesday June 4, The Drew Barrymore Show welcomes actor Jeremy Renner and author and academic Arthur Brooks to the show.
Renner will discuss his role as Mike McLusky, the titular “Mayor of Kingstown” in the Paramount+ series. The crime thriller, now in its third season, explores themes of corruption, racism, and inequality in the fictional town of Kingstown, Michigan, where incarceration is the thriving industry.
The show stars Renner as the McLusky family patriarch and the town’s unofficial “mayor,” who mediates between criminals and law enforcement to maintain a fragile peace.
Dr. Arthur Brooks, a Harvard professor, PhD social scientist, and #1 bestselling author, will offer insights on relationships and take questions from audience members about their personal experiences. Brooks is known for his expertise in happiness research, blending cutting-edge behavioral science and neuroscience with philosophy to help people build happier lives.
His recent books include “From Strength to Strength: Finding Success, Happiness, and Deep Purpose in the Second Half of Life” and “Build the Life You Want: The Art and Science of Getting Happier,” co-authored with Oprah Winfrey.
The Drew Barrymore Show airs Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 9:00 am on CBS.
