NBC’s The Irrational returns with “Anatomy of a Fall,” an episode plunging into the murky depths of a campus mystery. When a series of student deaths are hastily labeled as suicides, Simon’s (Alden Ehrenreich) worried mother turns to Alec Mercer (Jesse L. Martin) for help. Her plea for a deeper look ignites an investigation that will challenge Alec’s behavioral science expertise and test his unconventional methods.
The deaths, initially dismissed as self-inflicted, strike Alec as suspicious. His investigation leads him to a campus sorority, prompting him to enlist Marisa’s (Maahra Hill) help. The sorority’s potential involvement complicates the already intricate case.
“Anatomy of a Fall” also offers glimpses into the personal lives of other characters. Phoebe (Molly Kunz) deals with the choppy waters of her career, while Simon shares a piece of his past with Rizwan (Arash DeMaxi), potentially altering the course of their relationship.
