Quest Red’s true-crime documentary series, The Killer in My Family, returns with a new episode titled “Jesse Winnick.” Airing on Saturday, 10 August 2024, the episode looks into the disturbing story of Jesse Winnick, who was convicted of the brutal murder of his mother, Hadas Winnick, in 2011.
Jesse Winnick’s story is a tragic one. He was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for the second-degree murder of his mother. The episode reveals how a seemingly minor incident, such as being asked to clean up, triggered such a violent reaction from Winnick, leading him to stab his mother repeatedly with a butcher’s knife.
Exclusive footage paints a picture of Winnick’s dangerous behaviour behind bars, as he serves his sentence at the California State Prison in Los Angeles County. Initially found mentally incompetent to stand trial, Winnick later pleaded no contest to the murder, acknowledging the severity of his crime.
