The Killer Inside: The Ruth Finley Story, a Lifetime movie, airs on Friday, June 29, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. The film stars Teri Hatcher as Ruth and Tahmoh Penikett as her husband, Ed, a couple whose tranquil life in Wichita, Kansas, takes a dark turn when Ed suffers a heart attack.
While Ed fights for his life in the hospital, Ruth becomes the target of mysterious threats, receiving menacing phone calls that escalate into chilling letters. With the city already in a state of fear due to the BTK killer, Ruth’s paranoia grows, and she becomes convinced that she will be the killer’s next victim. The situation intensifies when Ruth is abducted, only to reappear shortly after, leaving investigators puzzled.
As the police pursue the BTK killer and scramble to understand the circumstances of Ruth’s kidnapping, new evidence and mounting suspicion suggest that the perpetrator may be someone closely connected to Ruth.
