On Monday, June 3, 2024, CBS’s The Late Show With Stephen Colbert welcomes singer-songwriter Alicia Keys and actor Stephen Merchant as its guests.
Alicia Keys, a classically trained pianist, rose to fame with her debut album, Songs in A Minor, which sold over 12 million copies worldwide and won five awards at the 44th Annual Grammy Awards. Since then, she has released eight studio albums, including her most recent, Keys II, and has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. Keys has also ventured into acting, making her film debut in the 2007 crime thriller Smokin’ Aces, and has written a memoir, More Myself: A Journey. She is further acclaimed for her humanitarian work and activism, having co-founded the nonprofit HIV/AIDS-fighting organization Keep a Child Alive.
Stephen Merchant is an English actor, comedian, director, presenter, and writer. He is best known for co-writing and co-directing the British TV comedy series The Office (2001-2003) with Ricky Gervais, with whom he also created the radio show The Ricky Gervais Show. Merchant has appeared in several films, including Logan (2017) and Jojo Rabbit (2019), and portrayed serial killer Stephen Port in the 2022 television drama Four Lives. He has received numerous accolades for his work, including two Golden Globe Awards, three BAFTA Awards, and a Primetime Emmy Award. He has a new season of his UK drama series The Outlaws on Prime Video.
