The fourth episode of The Nevermets airs on Channel 4 on Friday, 14 June 2024, at 10:00 pm. The episode introduces us to 24-year-old social media manager Leah from Glasgow, who is about to meet her online lover, 48-year-old Chad, for the first time. Leah has been talking to Chad, who lives with his 16-year-old daughter in the US, for two months.

We also meet 38-year-old Matt, a virgin who is embarking on his first relationship with Maria. Matt is taking a 7,000-mile journey to meet Maria, his online girlfriend of three years. Maria had previously ended a long-distance relationship as she was unwilling to leave her family, so the question arises: Will she make an exception for Matt?

Additionally, the episode features Jay and Veena, who are awaiting the decision on Veena’s tourist visa, which would allow her to visit Jay in the UK. Sarah and Jgoy, another couple, spend their final 48 hours together in Manila before Jgoy applies for a tourist visa to visit Sarah in the UK. Meanwhile, Mazi attempts to impress Dumebi with a ‘surprise’ date, but will he succeed in winning her over?

This episode of The Nevermets explores the complexities and challenges faced by couples who have formed long-distance relationships through online connections. As these couples take the leap to meet in person, their virtual romances will be put to the test, and they will discover if their online connections can lead to lasting, real-world relationships.
