In the second episode of this second season of The Teacher, airing on Channel 5, Dani exits the school in a hurry and flees. Tim pays a visit to Nina’s house, only to find the headmaster, Mr. Caulfield, already there. Back at home, Dani anxiously awaits Tim’s return, but he reacts with disgust towards her. DI Calgetti interrogates Dani about a photograph, and things become increasingly tense.
Dani discovers a note from Tim, expressing his desire for her to leave. At school, a suspended Dani collects her artwork, with Sienna attempting to provide some solace. They bond over their shared experience of being in foster care. Meanwhile, Caulfield and Bel watch as Dani departs, with a nervous Sienna asked to speak at the vigil for Zac that evening.
Tim faces questions from Dani about the texts, but he brushes them off and leaves. An anxious Dani answers the door to DI Calgetti, who now seeks to search the house. The pressure mounts as Dani checks in on Sienna at her foster center, where anxiety has taken a toll on her health. From outside, Dani watches as the vigil concludes.
