Mia Hamm, Brandi Chastain, and Julie Foudy, original stars of the US women’s soccer team, will reunite on the show. Now in their 50s, the retired players continue to exert their influence in various ways. Chastain and Foudy were part of the 1999 national team that won the World Cup, a victory that changed the landscape of how women’s team sports were covered. Foudy is now an analyst for ABC and ESPN, and she created the ESPN documentary The 99ers, which captures the magic of the team’s journey and their impact on the next generation of female athletes.
