On the Thursday June 13 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, actress Ayo Edebiri will be a guest. Edebiri is known for her roles in the comedy-drama series The Bear, for which she won a Golden Globe, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Primetime Emmy, as well as her voice acting in Big Mouth and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. She will next star in the horror film Opus, co-starring John Malkovich, and play a supporting role in James L. Brooks’s comedy film Ella McCay.
The show will also feature the influential new wave band Talking Heads, formed in 1975 in New York City. The band consists of David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth, and Jerry Harrison, and they are known for their unique blend of punk, art rock, funk, and world music. Talking Heads disbanded in 1991, but reunited for their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.
In addition, the all-girl rock band The Linda Lindas will perform. The group gained attention after a video of them playing “Racist, Sexist Boy” went viral on social media, earning praise from Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea, among others. Their debut album, Growing Up, was released in 2022 to positive reviews, and they have since performed at Coachella and the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
