“The Traitors” is a reality TV competition series based on the Dutch show “De Verraders,” which first aired in 2021. Both the American and British versions of “The Traitors” premiered in 2023, produced by Studio Lambert and set in the stunning landscape of the Scottish Highlands.

The premise of the show involves a group of contestants known as the “Faithful,” who must identify and eliminate the “Traitors” hidden among them. The Traitors, selected by the host, secretly work together to deceive the Faithful and claim the ultimate prize.

The first two seasons of the American version, hosted by Alan Cumming, featured a diverse mix of reality TV personalities and everyday individuals as contestants. Season one, with 20 contestants, crowned Survivor contestant Cirie Fields as the winner, who played the role of a Traitor. The winners of “The Traitors” U.S. Season 2 were Chris “CT” Tamburello and Trishelle Cannatella, who each took home $104,050.

The third season of “The Traitors” is expected to premiere in January 2025, following the pattern of the first two seasons, which debuted on January 12 in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
