On Tuesday, July 30, The View welcomes actor and author Jay Ellis to the show.
Jay Ellis, known for his role in HBO’s Insecure, will discuss his debut memoir, Did Everyone Have an Imaginary Friend (or Just Me?).
The book tells the story of Ellis’s childhood imaginary friend, Mikey, who helped him navigate the challenges of being an only child in a military family, moving around frequently, and coping with life’s ups and downs.
Mikey is described as a cross between Dwayne Wayne from A Different World and Will Smith from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
The View airs Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. on ABC.
