Jodie Turner-Smith is a British actress and model born in Peterborough, England, on September 7, 1986. She made her acting debut in 2013 as a siren in True Blood, which led to numerous minor roles in films and music videos. She is known for her roles in Queen & Slim (2019), After Yang (2021), and Anne Boleyn (2021). She has been married to Joshua Jackson since August 18, 2019, and they have one child.

The Acolyte is an upcoming American science fiction television series created by Leslye Headland for the streaming service Disney+. It is part of the Star Wars franchise, set at the end of the High Republic era before the events of the main Star Wars films. The series follows a Jedi investigation into a series of crimes. Turner-Smith plays Mother Aniseya, the leader of a coven of Force witches. The series is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on June 4, 2024, with its first two episodes. The series also stars Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, and Charlie Barnett.
