The TLC reality series 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way is returning to screens for a new season. The premiere date is set for Monday, July 1, 2024, at 8 pm ET/PT, with a special 2-hour episode introducing new and returning couples.

The show follows Americans who have applied for or received a K-1 visa, which is available to foreign fiancés of U.S. citizens. With their visas, the couples have 90 days to marry each other. The series explores the challenges these couples face, including language barriers, culture shock, stigma, and skepticism from friends and family.

This season, we welcome back Shekinah from California and her “reformed bad boy” partner, Sarper, from Turkey. Shekinah, after spending three months back in the US, is determined to make her move to Turkey permanent. However, as they work through their issues, women from Sarper’s past come forward, leaving Shekinah doubtful and uncertain about their future together.

Statler from Texas and Dempsey from England are also returning, and they’re about to begin their adventurous European van life. While Dempsey enthusiastically plans their new life on the road, Statler struggles with anxiety and doubts, wondering if this drastic lifestyle change was a mistake.

Meet Josh from South Carolina and Lily from China, a couple who met on a language learning app and fell head over heels in love. Their fairytale leads to marriage and Josh’s decision to leave his American life behind and move to China. However, with Josh unable to work in China and Lily being the sole breadwinner, financial disagreements threaten their happy ending.

James and Meitalia, a couple from Maine married for two and a half years, are also facing challenges. Meitalia, homesick and dealing with health issues, persuades James to move to Indonesia to be with her family. James finds himself under pressure from Meitalia’s family, facing questions about their future, language barriers, and financial stability.

Corona, a midwife in training from Pennsylvania, fell in love with her Icelandic “Viking,” Ingi, during a night of partying in Iceland. She takes a leap of faith and moves to Iceland, only to face the harsh reality of their relationship. With Ingi’s limited dating experience and Corona’s uncertainty about continuing her midwifery studies in Iceland, she must choose between love and her dream career.

Lastly, we have Joanne from New York and Sean from Ireland, a couple already secretly married. Before Joanne can consider moving to Ireland to be with Sean, she seeks the approval of her two sons, whom she finally introduces to Sean. Their secret creates strains, and once they arrive in Ireland, they find themselves pulled in different directions, facing new challenges and tensions.
