Tom Kerridge, the Michelin-starred chef, embarks on a culinary journey across Britain in his remodelled 1950s food truck.

In the series premiere, Tom heads to Kent and Cambridgeshire, exploring the diverse food landscapes of these regions. He begins his adventure in the Fens of Cambridgeshire, where he searches for beetroot and discovers the hard work and speed behind getting fresh vegetables to our tables.

Tom then moves to Kent, known as the ‘Garden of England,’ where he visits one of the county’s famous orchards and learns the art of picking ripe apples and pears. He celebrates these fruits with his ultimate crumble recipe, packed with delicious tips.

Tom’s journey is a celebration of British produce and the people who dedicate their lives to bringing it to our tables. In this episode, we explore the hard work and passion behind fresh vegetables and fruit, and Tom cooks up a summery beetroot and pearl barley salad, as well as a mouthwatering crumble.

Tom immerses himself in the world of farming and food production, working alongside producers and learning their secrets. From the vast farms of Cambridgeshire to the picturesque orchards of Kent, Tom discovers the unique stories and techniques that shape Britain’s culinary landscape.
