The sun-soaked and suspenseful world of Troppo makes its return to ABC on Friday, July 5, 2024, at 8:25 pm, with all eight episodes available for streaming on ABC iview.
In the new season, Crimson Lake once again becomes a hotbed of mystery and intrigue as Ted (Thomas Jane) and Amanda (Nicole Chamoun) find themselves entangled in a web of murder, drugs, and personal demons, just six months on from the events of the first season.
The premiere episode kicks off with a jaw-dropping opener: a mysterious figure pushes a burning body over a cliff, inadvertently killing an innocent bystander. As Detective Pip Sweeney (Zindzi Okenyo) arrives in town to investigate the murder of Julian Naughton (Andrew Buchanan), she suspects the victim’s son, Raph (Ethan Lwin). However, Raph’s girlfriend, Tayla (Miah Madden), believes in his innocence and enlists Ted and Amanda’s help, drawing them into a twisted investigation.
As they delve deeper, Ted and Amanda uncover a stolen E-Type Jaguar, encounter a bikie husband, and find a potential witness, Zach, who reveals he saw Julian’s burning body fall from the cliff. Meanwhile, Ted’s past continues to haunt him, with the police still convinced of his guilt in the Claire Bingley assault case, and Amanda confronts her own nemesis, Twist (Simon Lyndon), at the morgue.
