Vinyl Obsession: Florentine and Gavin Rossdale Dig Through the Crates (S2 E5)

Vinyl Obsession Key Art

Vinyl Obsession returns, with a look into the record collections—and musical minds—of comedian Jim Florentine (That Metal Show) and Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale. This week’s episode finds the pair at The Record Parlour, presumably flipping through bins of vinyl, reminiscing about their favorite albums, and perhaps engaging in some good-natured ribbing about each other’s musical tastes.

Florentine, known for his comedic stylings and love of all things heavy metal, will likely steer the conversation towards the harder side of the musical spectrum. Rossdale, on the other hand, might offer a more diverse perspective, given Bush’s blend of grunge, alternative rock, and post-grunge influences. It’ll be interesting to see where their musical Venn diagram overlaps, and whether any surprising picks emerge from their respective top-five lists.

Will Florentine wax poetic about the sonic brutality of Slayer, while Rossdale extols the virtues of The Beatles? Will they find any hidden gems in the dusty crates of The Record Parlour? Or will they simply bicker about who has the most impressive collection of picture discs?
