FX has revealed that the final season of the comedy series What We Do in the Shadows will premiere on 21 October. The sixth season will consist of 11 episodes, with the first three airing from 10 PM ET/PT on FX.
Hulu will release all episodes the following day, along with previous seasons. Disney+ offers international viewers access to past seasons, and season six will join soon.
The San Diego Comic-Con will host a panel discussion with the cast and crew on 25 July. Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Mark Proksch, and Kristen Schaal are set to attend, along with executive producers Paul Simms and Kyle Newacheck. Fans will be treated to a preview of an upcoming episode.
The series recently received eight Primetime Emmy Award nominations for its fifth season, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actor for Matt Berry. Nominations spanned writing, costumes, production design, editing, sound mixing, and stunt coordination.
What We Do in the Shadows centers on vampire roommates Nandor, Laszlo, Nadja, and Colin Robinson dealing with modern life in Staten Island. Their human friend Guillermo and vampire acquaintance The Guide complete the main cast.
In the final season, the characters reevaluate their lives, entering the workforce, traveling, attending social events, and summoning a demon.
