The vampires’ long-lost fifth roommate returns in the sixth and final season premiere of What We Do in the Shadows. In the first of three back-to-back episodes, the gang reunites with their former housemate, Jerry. Following this, Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) embarks on a new career path in episode two, while Laszlo (Matt Berry) receives assistance from Colin (Mark Proksch) in making a new acquaintance. Concluding the triple bill, an argument over the vacant room under the stairs escalates, leading to a chaotic situation.
In the season premiere, the vampires are surprised when their fifth roommate, Jerry, returns after a long absence. The gang, consisting of Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Laszlo, Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), and Colin, must adjust to having Jerry back in the house. While they may have fond memories of their old friend, his return could potentially disrupt the dynamic they’ve established over the years.
Episode two, “Headhunting,” sees Guillermo branching out and exploring new career opportunities outside of his role as a familiar. Meanwhile, Laszlo seeks social connection and enlists Colin’s help in making a new friend. Colin, always eager to please, steps up to the task, determined to find a suitable companion for Laszlo.
In the third episode, “Sleep Hypnosis,” tensions rise as the vampires argue over who will occupy the newly vacant room under the stairs. With limited space in the house, the debate becomes heated, and the vampires struggle to reach a peaceful resolution.
