Whitstable Pearl returns for its third season on Monday, October 21, on Acorn TV, with new episodes dropping every Monday night.
Pearl, played by Kerry Godliman, is a busy woman. Her restaurant, The Whitstable Pearl, is thriving, and her detective sideline is keeping her equally occupied. Joining her once again is DCI Mike McGuire, (Howard Charles). After a period of absence, Mike returns to Whitstable with renewed energy and a continued commitment to his personal journey of self-healing.
The professional partnership between Pearl and Mike remains as strong as ever, with the two working together to solve various cases. However, their personal lives are about to become a lot more complicated. Pearl’s relationship with Tom (Robert Webb) hits a rough patch, and as Mike comes to terms with the death of his wife, the underlying tensions between him and Pearl become harder to ignore.
In the opening episode, a young mother, missing for seven years, suddenly reappears on Whitstable Beach. Pearl, ever the detective, is determined to uncover where she has been and why she has returned.
