Constant Hot Water (ITV 1986, Pat Phoenix, Prunella Gee)

In sitcom Constant Hot Water Phyllis Nugent runs the Portofino Guest House in Bridlington, Yorkshire. All is going well until Miranda Thorpe opens a rival guest house right next door.

Phyllis is convinced that Miranda is something of a “loose woman” and her arrival lowers the tone of the whole area.

Something of a last hurrah for Pat Phoenix Constant Hot Water turned out to be more of a cold shower.
