In All Very Hush, Hush Joe is struggling to find a job in the executive field and ends up being forced to take a job as a salesman for a chocolate company before telling them where to stick it in best Lampton style, a chance meeting with property tycoon Sir George Hudson could give him just the break he needs though. Meanwhile on the personal front Susan has finally returned home but her parents are keen to point out to Joe what they expect of him!
It’s quite unusual to see Joe totally on his uppers, even having to resort to selling his car (1971 BMW) for half of what it’s worth but it does lead to a fab showdown with his father in law Abe. Robert Beatty is chief guest star but what out for Derek Benfield who later this year would go to play the long running role of Bill Riley in The Brothers. Other familiar faces includes Barry Jackson (who is best known these days for playing pathologist Bullard on Midsomer Murders) and Judy Loe who was making one of her first TV appearances since leaving the classic kids show Ace of Wands.
