That Uncertain Feeling (BBC-2 1986, Denis Lawson, Sheila Gish)

Period comedy drama serial That Uncertain Feeling took us to the 1950’s  where in a small Welsh town, mild mannered librarian John Aneurin Lewis (Denis Lawson) begins an affair with the voracious Mrs. Elizabeth Gruffydd-Williams (Sheila Gish).

After meeting on this production Lawson and Gish left their respective partners to be together.

Also made into a film (retitled Only Two Can Play) in the late fifties starring Peter Sellers as Lewis.
