Tightrope (ITV 1972, Spencer Banks, John Savident)

In Tightrope Teenage Martin Clifford is heavily involved in study for his A-levels when he gets mixed up in a world of spies when he meets British Intelligence officer Forrester who is convinced that a group of enemy agents are targeting the NATO base close to Martin’s school.

This exciting colour series now only exists in black and white (but at least it does still exist unlike so many of it’s contemporaries). Spencer Banks, star of Timeslip and then the ITV network’s favourite actor, stars as Martin.
